As part of the leisure provision review and procurement of our new leisure centre contract, the Leisure and Wellbeing Team at Wealden District Council will be undertaking a community engagement exercise. We will be engaging with Wealden residents and relevant partners to help the Council understand if the current leisure centre service and outreach programme meets the needs of local people to lead a healthy lifestyle.

The data gathered will be used to codesign several of the Leisure & Wellbeing Team forthcoming priority projects. The aim is to support and provide the evidence base required to help shape, inform and codesign two projects, the new leisure contract and the Health and Wellbeing Strategy refresh.

We would like to take this opportunity to ask if this could be added into your town and parish newsletter. Please could you let me know if you have any newsletters which would be appropriate to promote this out. Please also send through date of when you would need the information by and the release date of the newsletter. We plan to open the survey the week commencing the 17th of February for 6 weeks.

Please also let me know if you have any noticeboards or offices where we could leave some marketing material. We can send over paper copies of the survey as well, so please send through the appropriate address for us to send these to you.

We hope we will be able to work together to engage with as many of your residents as possible. This will really help the future of leisure and wellbeing in Wealden.
